The past few weeks I've been sifting through past reflections and various tools to assess the year we're saying goodbye to and recalibrate for the next one. The most jarring discovery was reading my own words from December 9, 2024. At the time, I was feeling a slight mental lift and made some bold pronouncements about my intentions for 2025. And then, just ten days later, my husband passed away—not entirely unexpectedly given his ALS progression, but certainly much sooner than we'd imagined the end would come. That ending upended every expectation for 2025. So what DID happen in 2025?
